Juergen Teller

The epitomy of the lazy photographer who couldn’t be bothered with big heavy equipment, Jurgen sort of fell into photography after some work related  health problems caused him to go on holiday in Italy with his photography nut cousin. One look through the camera and he decided to go study photography. The german government paid for his education and bought him his cameras, big ones, medium ones and especially a little one. The Contax 35 mm which he fell in love with and has used ever since. He sold them all except the contax pay for his first 9 months in the business. A friendship with Marc Jacobs has led to some of the most creative advertising photography of the last decade…
